How does the AI receptionist work?

When a call comes in, Silk Call AI answers in your business's name, understands what the caller needs and responds naturally, just like a trained receptionist. It can answer questions, take details and book appointments, then send you a summary of the call.

What happens to calls outside business hours?

They still get answered. Silk Call AI works 24/7, so evening, weekend and bank holiday callers can still get answers, leave details or book in. You choose how out-of-hours calls are handled.

Can it answer questions specific to my business?

Yes. During setup we train it on your services, prices, opening hours, location and common questions, so it answers the way you would.

Can it book appointments?

Yes, it can book appointments for callers, and it works with any booking tool or calendar you already use.

Can I keep my existing phone number?

Yes. You keep your existing business number, and we connect Silk Call to it during setup.

What if it can't answer a question?

It won't guess. It takes the caller's details and question and passes them straight to you, so you can follow up personally. It can also transfer the call live to you or your team.

How much does it cost?

Website Starter is £599 setup + £99/month. The AI Receptionist is £299 one-off setup + £89/month. The Complete Package is £819 initial payment + £179/month. See pricing for what each includes.

Are there setup or usage fees?

Each package has a one-off setup or initial payment: £599 for Website Starter, £299 for the AI Receptionist, or £819 for the Complete Package, which covers both setups. After that you pay the monthly fee. Your plan includes 400 minutes of calls answered by the AI receptionist each month. Beyond that, extra minutes are £1 per 100 minutes.

How long does setup take?

Setup usually takes anywhere from 48 hours to 2 weeks, depending on your business and what you need. We'll give you a realistic timeline on your demo call.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes. To cancel your monthly subscription, just contact us before your next billing date. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. Want to switch plans? Get in touch and we'll sort it out. See our refund and cancellation policy for full details.

Can I get just a website?

Absolutely. Our Website package is available on its own, and you can add the AI receptionist at any time.
